报告摘要：We study the efficiency of the Weak Rescaled Pure Greedy Algorithm (WRPGA) with respect to a dictionary in a Hilbert space. We obtain the sufficient and necessary conditions for the convergence of WRPGA for any element and any dictionary. This condition is weaker than the sufficient conditions for convergence of the Weak Pure Greedy Algorithm (WPGA). Moreover we derive the error estimate of WRPGA for general element and show the results can be generalized to some Banach spaces. Finally, we consider the application of the RPGA to kernel-based regression.

报告人简介：叶培新，南开大学数学草榴社区应用数学系教授，博士生导师，核心数学与组合数学教育部重点实验室研究员。 SCI收录的国际期刊Axioms的客座编委。1995年于厦门大学获学士学位，1998年于厦门大学获硕士学位，2001年于北京师范大学获博士学位。2001年至2003年在中国科草榴社区数学所做博士后。2008年1月至2008年12月任美国南卡罗来纳大学访问研究教授。2010年入选教育部新世纪优秀人才支持计划。研究方向函数逼近论及其应用。主持、参与过多项国家自然科学基金项目。
